Natural Cleaning Products for White Baseboards

20 DIY Natural Cleaning Recipes, Tips & Hacks — madeleine olivia

Most of us are guilty of neglecting the baseboards in our homes when it comes to cleaning. We may spot clean walls but forget to pay attention to the baseboards which get dirty with skid marks, dirt, dust, stains, etc. Therefore, today I am sharing with natural cleaning products you can use for cleaning white baseboards.

Castile Soap and Water

If you haven’t heard of Castile soap then it is time to acquaint yourself to the useful and oil-based detergent. It is traditionally made with olive oil but other alternatives like vegetable oil, coconut oil and other natural fats and oils are also used. You can get it in liquid form to make a mild cleaning solution by mixing a teaspoon of it in warm water in a spray bottle. Spray the solution onto the base boards and scrub with a soft sponge. Rinse with water by dipping a microfiber cloth and wiping away the residue. Repeat until the baseboards are clean and stain free.

White Vinegar

Since vinegar has acetic acid it has the properties to cut through grease and grime without causing damage to the baseboards. If the baseboards are mildly dirty you can use a half-and half solution of white vinegar and warm water with essential oils. If any area has stubborn marks or stains then use vinegar directly. Apply by dipping a microfiber cloth or sponge lightly with vinegar and scrub the mess until it disappears. Then with a clean and wet cloth wipe away nay residue. White vinegar is an excellent cleaner that is used by professionals my professional cleaners in Kambah, Canberra.

Baking Soda

Since Baking Soda has mild abrasive properties it is excellent for removing scuff marks, stains, greasy messes, and dirt from almost anything. For light spots you can take a wet microfiber cloth and dip it in baking soda then scrub away the stains. For stubborn stains make a paste of baking soda and water and apply it on the stain for a few minutes then remove with a wet cloth or sponge.

I learnt about these recipes and products when I hired green end of lease cleaners in Kambah, Canberra. They offer excellent bond cleaning services and other solutions. If required, you can find more about them here https://www.bondcleaningincanberra.com.au/kambah/.
